About two decades ago, Amy experienced her first pregnancy and with it came gestational diabetes.  During her two pregnancies, she was put on the strictest of diets to keep her sugars in tact, only to find that very few foods were on her approved to eat list.  Shortly after experiencing diabetes, Amy then developed severe food allergies.  As a "foodie", this became a challenge that was not being met by what was offered in stores.  So many preservatives and synthetic ingredients led her on a mission for all natural, health options.  Over these past two decades, Amy has been working on recipes that she can use in her kitchen to combat her food allergies and diabetes.  Over the years, Amy came up with many great recipes for baking gluten-free and sugar-free confections that she has been sharing with family and friends for years.  When husband Jim saw that she had many challenges in finding recipes like this to purchase, he suggested that they start a business offering these all-natural choices to others.  In 2015, this became a reality for her with the start of Amy's Best™.
